The basic idea of this song came to life during FAWM 2021 (fawm.org), and started as an instrumental. Thanks to Nadine de Macedo who wrote the lyrics and helped me with the arrangement, I revisited this piece and finished it two months later.

Original liner notes from FAWM:
"I couldn't sleep tonight, so I got up at 5, opened Logic and started with a bassline (I had Soundgarden in mind, but then ... I don't know). Ultimately it became this song that leaves me kind of speechless. I cannot say much about it – maybe a little boring without vocals."
